MAAP LaB
Striking a balance between machined precision and material rawness, MAAP’s hometown retail store manifests the brand’s obsession with cycling and everything that surrounds it. Designed by Clare Cousins Architects, the store is defined by a robust yet highly finished steel perimeter. The assemblage conveys the atmosphere of a meticulous workshop – a place in which design, performance, and cycling converge to form community. The project’s architectural forms and intrinsic design inspires lovers of cycling and design. Situated in Collingwood, co-founder Oliver Cousins saw the northside location as the perfect neighbourhood, filled with like-minded brands and businesses, further cementing the ethos of culture, connection, and community.
