Louise Olsen and Stephen Ormandy are artists, designers, creative directors and co- founders of Dinosaur Designs, which they established in 1985 out of a shared love of art, design and friendship. Curiosity and imagination are central to their work and fuel a sense of play that blurs boundaries to create a philosophy of colour, form and texture. They wish to share that philosophy and enrich people’s lives through the pieces they create. Their resin pieces are made by hand in their Sydney studio.
All items are handmade, variation in colour and resin swirls will feature & reflect the handmade nature of the making process. The variation in details are to be celebrated and embraced. We have provided multiple images to show the different colours and finishes to be expected, if you would like to select a particular item, please visit your nearest showroom to hand select.
Care & Maintenance
Resin is strong and durable, yet should be treated like a ceramic as it can break when dropped on knocked against a hard surface. Resin homewares are suitable for cold food service only. Hand wash only in warm water. Resin may appear “frosted” after washing and can be rubbed with a drop of cooking oil to restore sheen. Resin is not fire resistant and so should not be used in an oven, a microwave, dishwasher or as an ashtray.
